Recycling and Paper Use Committee
_
- We now have the list for the entire SED building for which faculty/staff members are recycling! On every recycle bin in the building, there is now a sign that clarifies where the bin is located, as well as where to take the bin when it is full. We hope this will encourage those in the building to become engaged in the recycling process!
- Send out an e-card to SED with tips about how to make your office greener, and the link of how to get your office Green Office certified with the BU sustainability certification team.- possibly go around with a checklist to help people know if they would qualify for a Green Office certification prior to applying (we would need volunteers to do this)- figure out a way to encourage faculty and staff to cut back on printing and copying course materials, and encourage use of pdf files and blackboard posting instead when possible. One suggestion was to do a demonstration of how to create a pdf file during the SED Green report at the next faculty assembly.- Emily and Mark have posted new signs on the recycling bins with additional information about recycling - thank you!- We continue to try to think of ways to help 620 Comm Ave with their recycling program
