Past and continuing sedGreen projects include:
- Recycling on each SED floor, reducing pertroleum use, CO2 emissions, the clear-cutting of forests, and the number of new landfills.
- Solar and wind power project on the third floor roof is comprised of seven solar panels and a wind turbine that feed into storage batters that run a laptop as well an feed into the power grid.
- The Healthy Planet/Healthy Person Pedalathon and ongoing interactive bike exhibit shows that the energy for powering appliances can come from us.
- Initiated a Power Down Campaign encouraging SED students, faculty, and staff to work together to reduce the amoung of electricity we cosume and CO2 emissions we produce. There are 25 motion light sensors installed throughout SED to help conserve and reduce sending on electricity.
